Naturally found in coastal and mountain rainforests, as well as wet sclerophyll forests of eastern Australia, particularly in New South Wales and Queensland

Glossy, dark green leaves, often serrated. New growth is typically reddish

Preferred Soil:

Prefers well-drained soils. Will tolerate a range of moisture levels but thrives best in moist, well-drained conditions

Adored for its beautiful, fringed white or pink flowers that resemble small bells, and its attractive, blue, berry-like fruit that follows. This elegant tree is low maintenance, drought-tolerant, and supports local wildlife, making it an excellent addition to any garden.

Care Considerations:

Low to moderate watering needs, relatively drought-tolerant once established. Apply organic mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds. A light feeding with balance fertiliser can be used during the growing season to supoort growth. Minimal pruning is required, mainly to trim, shape and removed dead/damaged branches.
