Naturally found in coastal and mountain rainforests, as well as wet sclerophyll forests of eastern Australia, particularly in New South Wales and Queensland | |
Leaf information: | Glossy, dark green leaves, often serrated. New growth is typically reddish |
Preferred Soil: | Prefers well-drained soils. Will tolerate a range of moisture levels but thrives best in moist, well-drained conditions |
Adored for its beautiful, fringed white or pink flowers that resemble small bells, and its attractive, blue, berry-like fruit that follows. This elegant tree is low maintenance, drought-tolerant, and supports local wildlife, making it an excellent addition to any garden.
Care Considerations: | Low to moderate watering needs, relatively drought-tolerant once established. Apply organic mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds. A light feeding with balance fertiliser can be used during the growing season to supoort growth. Minimal pruning is required, mainly to trim, shape and removed dead/damaged branches. |
