Naturally found in the subtropical and tropical rainforests of northeastern Australia, particularly in Queensland

Leaf information:

Glossy, dark green leaves often long and narrow with serrated edges. New growth is typically reddish

Preferred Soil:

Prefers well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral pH level soils. Tolerates a range of moisture levels but does not thrive in waterlogged conditions.

This hardy and versatile tree is low maintenance, drought-tolerant, and provides excellent shade, making it perfect for enhancing the aesthetic and ecological value of gardens and landscapes.

Care Considerations:

Low to moderate watering needs, relatively drought-tolerant once established. Apply organic mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds. A light feeding with balance fertiliser can be used during the growing season to supoort growth. Minimal pruning is required, mainly to trim, shape and removed dead/damaged branches.
