Leaf information: | Large, glossy, textured leaves that are dark green on top with a whitish underside |
Preferred Soil: | Prefers well-drained soils but is particularly tolerant of moist to wet conditions |
With unique, vibrant green-blue flowers and large, glossy leaves this plant adds textural interest and unique colour to the garden. Highly regarded for its ability to attract a wide range of wildlife, including birds and bees alike. As the name might suggest it is highly tolerant to wet conditions, making it a suitable choice for areas in the garden that are prone to moisture or around natural water features.
Care Considerations: | Some watering during extended periods of dry may be required, but generally quite drought tolerant once established. A slow release, low phosphorus native plant fertiliser can be used to encourage growth and flowering. |
