Primarily found in the coastal woodlands and forests along the east coast from Bundaberg to Grafton. Inland, you can find it in the mallee areas, especially in the region between the Blackdown Tableland (west of Rockhampton) and the Alpha-Tambo area (north of Charleville), where it may be part of open forest ecosystems. | |
Preferred Soil: | Will tolerate a wide variety of soil types but prefers well drained soils |
This plant can develop deep roots that help control soil erosion and the ability to attract wildlife with its striking yellow flowers. Additionally, its potential nitrogen-fixing properties can enhance soil quality with relatively low maintenance requirements.
Care Considerations: | Can be pruned to maintain a more bushy appearance or for visual appeal. Does not require heavy fertilisation. |
