Why we love this plant!

A delicious edible perennial herb that benefits both pollinators and birds. A relative of the Ginger family, it has fragrant white flowers and blue berries. Young root tips, shoots and the fruits are all edible, and the tangy flesh around the seeds can encourage salivation.

It comes in both a red and green variety with the most notable difference being the reddish/purplish leaves of the red variety.
